The Cradle, The Cross, The Crown

The Cradle, The Cross, The Crown

Philippians 2:5-11

5Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:

6Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God:
7But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men:
8And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.
9Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name:
10That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth;
11And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

The earthly ministry of Jesus Christ can be divided into 3 stages.

The Cradle

It was a commoner’s cradle

The Cross

A message of God Grace and Love for us

The cross was on His life

When He was born

As He was growing up

It was His destiny

The Crown

The Crown shows what is going to come!

Friends, the cross was not the end, it was only the beginning!

Following Jesus never leads to defeat

He’s the conqueror of earth

He’s the conqueror of heaven

He’s the conqueror of hell

Every knee shall bow and every tongue shall confess that Jesus Christ is Lord

If you want to look for Jesus

He’s not in the cradle

He’s not on the cross

It’s empty

He’s not in the tomb

It’s a memorial to a risen King

You have to look upward

He’s seated at the right hand of The Father

He came as a babe to a cradle, but now He wears a crown.

The cross was once an object of shame,

but now in has become a symbol of His glory!
