Jochebed and her Boy

Jochebed and her Boy

Hebrews 11:23-26

23 By faith Moses, when he was born, was hid three months of his parents, because they saw he was a proper child; and they were not afraid of the king’s commandment.24 By faith Moses, when he was come to years, refused to be called the son of Pharaoh’s daughter;25 Choosing rather to suffer affliction with the people of God, than to enjoy the pleasures of sin for a season;26 Esteeming the reproach of Christ greater riches than the treasures in Egypt: for he had respect unto the recompence of the reward.

If your life has been blessed but the touch of a Godly Mother, then you have enjoyed one of the world’s greatest treasures and blessings.  Much of what Moses became must be credited to His Mother.

She had Him – In difficult times

This was a time that all males born of Hebrew women were killed

Here’s the question: do you want your kid’s to have your faith?

She hid Him – Protected Him

By hiding Him, she kept Him alive

She held Him

After Pharaoh’s daughter found Moses, she gave Him back to Jochebed to raise

She taught Him her faith

She handed Him over to God – Her Faithfulness in God

When the time came for Moses to join Pharaoh, she understood what God could use Him for

Her Happiness – Her Blessings

God used Moses to free the Hebrews

He was the one who became known as the Law Giver after the Hebrew’s left Egypt

He helped found a nation
