What Makes the Difference

What Makes the Difference

Exodus 11:4-7

“But against any of the children of Israel shall not a dog move his tongue, against man or beast: that ye may know how that the Lord doth put a difference between the Egyptians and Israel.”  Ex. 11:7

The part that we often miss is that the Lord wanted there to be a difference between the people of the Lord and the people of the world.  Let’s look as what makes the difference.

The Plague

This was the Final Plague

It is a picture of salvation

The first born was sacrificed

The blood covered and saved the believers

It shows we are all under either the love of God, or the wrath of God

This was a Fatal Plague

Death will come to everyone, everywhere

If you are only born once, you have to die twice

Death = Separation

Physical Death = When a soul is separated from the body

Spiritual Death = When the soul is separated from God

If you are born twice, you only have to die once

The difference between born again believers and everybody else is the Blood of Jesus Christ

It is not a hope so religion, it is a know so religion

The Protection

The blood of the lamb saved the children of Israel

The theme of the Bible is the sacrifice of the lamb:

It started with a lamb for one man.

It moved up to a lamb for each family.

Then a lamb for the whole land.

Now, The Lamb to cover all eternity!

“The blood of Jesus has to be applied correctly…as directed”
